  Okay but listen. I'm not religious. In fact I grew up LDS, and rightfully feel much animosity towards any organized religion for reasons id rather not discuss publicly. I have always been an advocate to do away with religion. I usually speak out against it.
  
  However recently I started dating someone who was also formerly religious (he had a vastly different experience from me, and holds no anger) but it is very important to his parents that I am somewhat involved in the Christian religion even if it's just knowing what it's about and what they stand for.
  
  I was dreading attending church because of anxiety. I thought I'd be judged or stared at, whatever. Anxiety.
  
  i won't bore you with the specifics, but I actually had a really good time! Even though I don't have a foundation in religion anymore, the energy from the excited church goers was actually really refreshing. I've been going through things lately and happy smiling faces was so nice to see. People said hi to me about 30 times and I didn't even know them. It was like I was visible for all the right reasons (I have colorful hair, piercings and tattoos). I saw some of my old friends and they were genuinely excited to see me. There was free coffee, nice bathrooms, and seriously a great vibe. No one was afraid of me like I kinda thought they would be. I know it sounds stupid, but I was very much pleasantly surprised by this Christian church. 10/10 would recommend for anyone no matter who you are or what you're going through.
  
  Probably will still only attend when I have to, but that's about 3x the amount I was going prior.

  Thankful REAL people call this place home. There is no such thing of a perfect church but Capital is close to it. Come in get connected and find Jesus at the center.

  If you're in town to visit, as I was, I would consider choosing another. I would not attend if I lived in town.
